Something Magick, the moment
Rain stops
That second when the
Dappled curtain is raised
Edible air
Metallic living tang
Weight of a cloud on your skin
Steam rises from the pavement
And your hands.

The last single drop
Plummets to Earth
It lands on the tip of your nose
And rolls into your mouth
Tasting like God's kiss
On your tongue
Feet curl around damp grass
Mixing with the flavor of soil.

Crickets sing
In the dusk drawn fog
Which stalks its way
Into the atmosphere
Dark gray ghosts
Glide through the sky
Whispering moments of moonlight
In your ear.

The world drinks
From the same life as you
And you feel in that moment,
Just as the rain stops,
Infinite.
